The people of Scottsdale exceed national levels when it comes to education. 93% of residents have graduated high school, 77% attended some college and 42% have a Bachelor’s degree or better. The public school system is highly rated nationally and Scottsdale offers the Scottsdale Community College in addition to several technical and vocational schools.
The Scottsdale Unified School District has 33 schools serving approximately 27,000 students. The Arizona Department of Education has rated all of Scottsdale schools as Performing, Highly Performing or Excelling. Eighteen schools have earned the highest rating of Excelling. The schools district works toward improvement in such areas as student achievement, student safety and operations of the district.
